June 15th 2018 - The Melbourne Hotel | Bell Tower | Perth City Farm WeddingMichaela & Ian
Firstly, when a couple mention the Bell Tower and Perth City Farm in the same sentence you kind of squeal with delight inside! when you ask how they found you and the stunning bride to be says “Instagram” that kind of squeal inside becomes a scream! To know that your work has inspired someone to reach out and enquire about wedding photography based on your style is amazing!! What’s more amazing is when the couple are total 10s on the inside!
And that is how I came to be in the presence of Michaela and Ian writing this blog and having the greatest honour of capturing their love and marriage.
From the moment I meet these two their love was evident.
When you are in their presence they are calm and happy. Bride Michaela is a softly spoken lass with a huge smile. If you look through her wedding pictures you will see her happiness, more so when she is with Ian.
We sprung an early arrival on our bride at The Melbourne Hotel in the centre of Perth. The moment the door opened we were greeted by Michaela’s huge smile. A quick shot of “the dress” and Michaela slipped on her big pink puff. Oh no, so sorry Ian, we know how much you had your heart set on that dress but what Michaela actually slipped on was an exquisite fitted gown with the most stunning detachable train! Check her out on the stunning balcony at The Melbourne Hotel.
Brett from The BWC Co whisked Michaela off to the Bell Tower to marry her awaiting Groom. A very personal and intimate ceremony officiated by Kate, these two lovers were pronounced husband and wife! As Ian threw his hands in the air with a cheer, everyone clapped and one little Scot who was standing in the aisle got so excited about this marriage that he was also jumping for joy. Be sure to check him out! Michaela and Ian’s homeland is that of Scotland! We even managed to capture a photo with their loved ones who were back home! They were ever so present watching this beautiful wedding via facetime! How awesome is technology.
With the light fading fast the newlyweds made a dash from the Bell Tower and off we went to The Supreme Court Gardens for a few wedding photographs! We dashed again over to Elizabeth Quay for the fading sunset and a Perth city skyline shot so that Michaela and Ian have a permanent memory of Perth. That place they said I Do.
Brett drove our couple to Perth City Farm where their closest loved ones that live here in Perth had gathered for their arrival and speeches. As the lads made their speeches and constant jokes about “Red” aka “Ian” fits of laughter spread around Perth City Farm. Listening to Ian’s speech about the love he has for Michaela and about how they just don’t stop smiling and having fun when they are together concreted what I already knew about these two lovers.
As the speeches ended guests arrived to party way into the night!
With the first dance captured I grabbed one last shot of these lovers in the doorway of the Art Room and how happy do they look to be married!
Michaela and Ian what an honour it is to know you! The biggest congratulations! Keep on loving each other! I can’t wait to see what your future holds for you both! I will be stalking your lives via Instagram xx
