Chapel Farm Wedding
Chapel Farm WeddingBrodee and Riccardo
Brodee and Riccardo’s Chapel Farm Wedding! Can I find the words to describe their day?
Sheer happiness and joy.
Everywhere and from everyone.
It was such a pleasure to meet this crew from Geraldton and to witness how much love and happiness everyone shared for Brodee and Riccardo’s marriage.
Bride Brodee’s smile and laugher is infectious. When you look over the moments photographed on their wedding day you will probably find yourself smiling along with them.
So how did I come to be these young lovers wedding photographer?
Larissa, Brodee’s bestie is also a talented photographer. Larissa had been following me on Instagram and sent Brodee and Riccardo my way.
I remember the day they came to my showroom to meet and chat about the wedding, yes Larissa came too and Riccardo’s’ mum. It was the day before a Wedding Expo Australia Expo at the Convention Centre in Perth which they also attended.
Nothing like a trip to Perth to wedding plan.
Brodee and Riccardo expressed that they were not photo people. By gees they were wrong, they so are. All I need is you to be comfortable together, trust me and just be your authentic self. The rest will follow.
I was super excited to be the one chosen to photograph their wedding day at Chapel Farm in the Swan Valley.
With a lot of the guests travelling to Perth for the wedding day, they stayed at Fraser Suites Perth, where the couple had organised a bus to drive their guests to their wedding Venue.
Riccardo came down to meet me in the foyer and by gees it was good to see him. He may have scared his loved ones with a bit of an “incident” after I had first met these young lovers.
Sometimes life makes you really stop and appreciate everything and everyone.
We had a chat in the lift about “life” and soon I was walking into the lads’ preparations overseen by Riccardo’s beautiful mum, Tanya and handsome dad, Mauro. I could see how proud they are of their sons.
Riccardo may have let it slip that this was the part of the day he was least looking forward to, wedding photographs. You wouldn’t know it! Look at the lovely preparation moments. I love the moment he reads a card from his wife to be.
See you at the Alter.
It was time to head to Chapel Farm to find our Bride, Brodee.
Arriving at Chapel Farm, I found the bride and her tribe in the courtyard of the preparations building. I could hear the laughter as Larissa took some photos of her bestie.
I adore this tribe.
They are all so in the moment. Everyone helping everyone.
Love bride Brodee helping put shoes on!
Her laughter and happiness is surreal and I can see why Riccardo has fallen head over heels in love with her.
Look out for the moment the scissors come out. Larissa had the tough job there and Bride Brodee still laughing with Larissa wielding those things. This is trust. From the doing up of the beautiful Dion for Bride Wedding gown to the placement of the veil and a kiss from your bestie it was time for some beautiful wedding photos with Mother, Di, and Father, Greg, and all the important little cuties!
Aren’t the flower girls adorable.
Special mention to Brodee’s bouquet. The bride has placed little pieces of fabric worn by her mother on her very own wedding day in her bouquet. Love this touch!
With those truly happy moments captured, it was time for the bride and her tribe to gather their thoughts, do all the last-minute checks before walking the aisle.
The Chapel Farm Wedding Ceremony
With the name of the venue being Chapel Farm, it was only fitting that the couples Geraldton Parish Priest Father Bernard officiate the ceremony.
I had a chat to Father Bernard as it was great to see the Catholic Church granting exemptions to marry in places outside the church. It was also great to see Father Bernard make the journey for the wedding. For some families their faith is important yet marrying in their Local Parish Church is not an option due the distances families have to travel to get there.
With guests all flooding in, a groom keen to set eyes on his bride it was not long before the procession began. Brodee’s tribe made their way up the aisle and queue the happiest of brides on the arm of her dad super happy to see everyone.
Flowing behind the stunning bride was her beautiful long veil and train, which almost trips Greg up and gave Brodee and Riccardo a chuckle. These unexpected moments. Greg and the dress and veil were unharmed.
Father Bernard has a warm and friendly persona. You see moments of laughter throughout the ceremony as well as the moment he explains why rings are placed on “that finger”.
Vows are exchanged. Rings are blessed and placed. Laughter is had and then the first moment, followed by more laughter. This is love and happiness.
The legal’s are signed, queue more laughter. A prayer is said and as the newlyweds walk up the aisle, you got it, laughter. Group Photo, laughter!
It really is amazing to look back on all this wonderful happiness.
Family Photographs and Wedding Party Photographs
Chapel Farm is perfect for your wedding photographs.
Some couples do love the idea of heading off site for wedding photography.
Brodee and Riccardo’s loved ones headed to the grassy area at Chapel Farm for their family photos. I spotted two little flower girls feeding the resident sheep some grass adding to the farm vibe.
The plan was to capture the wedding tribe at Chapel Farm and head offsite to a location I had scouted close by to Chapel Farm for this outdoorsy couple. The Idea of their guests watching them have wedding photos taken was a bit daunting. They felt they would relax more by heading off site and adding an adventure to their wedding day.
As we wound up the family photos Brodee and Riccardo decided they would like their wedding tribe to come along to the location for their wedding pics.
I am so glad they went this way as we really did all head off on an adventure and we had so much fun. If the thought of everyone jumping in cars and heading off site excited, you too I can make it happen. Allowing time in your timeline is the best way to start. I will always find somewhere suitable and close by to your venue.
With Larissa in Charge of Veil flicking we were both in wedding photography heaven.
Brodee was heard saying she was having so much fun and the location was everything she had dreamed of for her wedding photos.
Groom Riccardo was relaxed with his beautiful bride by his side as there was non-stop laughter, smiles and happiness and a few cheeky groomsmen.
Wedding Reception at Chapel Farm
About 120 guests joined the celebrations at Chapel Farm for Brodee and Riccardo’s Cocktail style reception
Gavin from Groovy Entertainment was the couples DJ and MC and has been in weddings for over 2 decades. He really is Perth’s most Experienced Wedding DJ. You must look at the dance floor at Brodee and Riccardo’s wedding. A great DJ and MC understands you are the focus of the day. They work with you to ensure the night runs smoothly and you hear the music you want to hear.
I love the moment Gavin introduces Riccardo’s speech and Riccardo’s reaction. Check it out in the photos.
The celebrations were underway. Look out for the Shot Glass moment and let’s not forget the pants dropping moment of Eagle Rock.
Final Words from Brodee and Riccardo’s Chapel Farm Wedding Photographer
Thank you so much Larissa from LMRPhotography for trusting me to capture your best friend’s wedding. I know you understand what a huge responsibility it is and your recommendation was heartfelt and very much appreciated.
It was so lovely to meet you Brodee and Riccardo, as well as your loved ones. Your journey to the Alter is one that will stay with me forever. I know you were both a tad nervous about the wedding photography part to your day. I know the relationship we built before the day made it A lot easier. You truly are beautiful people, surrounded by beautiful people. Your wedding photographs reflect the happiness you both radiate. Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness.
Love, your wedding Photographer Simone.
