Core Cider House Wedding

Core Cider House Wedding - 19th January 2019

Amanda & John

Our 2019 wedding season started with a scorcher of a wedding at Core Cider House for Amanda and John. Perth delivered these lovers a 40.4-degree wedding day. Perfect night time weather for a wedding reception under the festoons at Core Cider House.

Lead Up to the Wedding Day

Amanda and John booked one of the packages I offer with Groovy Entertainment and tweaked it to their needs with more photography coverage.

That first meeting really helps us to get to know each other and work out exactly what you want for your wedding day.

I learnt John was a joker and we literally didn’t stop laughing. What I have learnt over the years is light hearted folk have the biggest warmest hearts. I knew these lovers were in for an amazing wedding day.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks out from the wedding and we meet again to go over all the final details. This ensure’s I know exactly how your day will run. Taking in all the important factors you spent years planning.

There was talk about the couple’s little kitty Hugo. I knew it was important to capture him in the wedding photographs. I’m always listening to what’s important to you to reflect your lives in your wedding photography.

The Wedding day

The Grooms preparations.

There was no escaping the weather January threw at Amanda and John.

As I arrived at Johns preparations I was surprised to find calmness and all the lads practically dressed! Organised groomsmen, who would have thought! Queue the wedding photographer asking the lads to remove their shoes. There are just a few bits and pieces I need to photograph before the groom and his men can fully dress.

One little fluff ball named Hugo stole the show. Hugo is the couples kitten. He was happy to hang out with the lads and watch them prepare. John couldn’t take this little side kick to the wedding however honoured Hugo with Cat Socks and his own Little Bow tie. Look out for the images of John holding Hugo. If those images don’t melt the hardest of hearts nothing will.

The Lads racked the 1 and the 9 ball up on the pool table as a tribute to the 19th January 2019 the day John married the love of his life. You will see this reality at the ceremony!

The Bride Preparations

When I knocked on the door at Amanda preparation address I was greeted by father of the bride, Aneurin. The look on his face when I pronounced his name correctly made me wish I had my camera ready to capture it.

Getting to know the important people on the wedding day expands past the bride and groom. Its all the people that share the wedding day with a bride and groom, their family, friends and loved ones that make the day special. Professional wedding photographers will go the extra mile to ensure we not only capture your great memories but leave your loved ones with great memories too.

When I saw Amanda, she looked radiant and amazing! I could imagine how John would feel when he saw her.

Final touches were being done to hair and makeup and Amanda slipped into her stunning wedding gown.

We capture all the important memories for Amanda and a special one with her grandparents. Time flew by and we wished Amanda a lovely journey to the ceremony and headed off to Core Cider house

The Ceremony

The ceremony was by the Dragon Fly ponds.

We saw the lovely Sally Newman and I wondered if our groom would shed tears when he saw his bride. When I work with wedding celebrant Sally Newman, there is a 100% track record that the grooms are so in love with their bride and emotion overcomes them.

Today the record is intact!

Look for the moment John spots Amanda in the distance and realises he is about to marry the love of his life. John tells us his eyes were sweating! Always the joker.

With vows exchanged, rings placed on hands and papers sign these lovers shared their first kiss and walked back up the aisle as husband and wife

Wedding Photos

We captured all the important kiss and congratulations, family photographs and everyone was amazing! Considering the heat, we got through this quite quickly, so everyone could head up to Core Cider House to indulge in some much-needed refreshments.

The bride and groom and their amazing bridal party worked quickly to capture a few images before they too headed off to find cool refreshments.

Wedding Reception under the Festoons

It was the perfect evening to be outside under the festoons watching dusk roll in over the orchard and celebrate the marriage of these young lovers.

With the first course consumed I whisked them all back into the orchard for more wedding day photographs. It was cooler. The light was amazing, and we photographed all the must haves for these lovers.

We headed back to cut the beautiful wedding cake, have main course, speeches and the first dance.

The Music from Gavin at Groovy Entertainment with the stunning surrounds, festoons provided perfect ambience to the evening. Guests drank and danced, and our couple had a perfect wedding reception.

Towards the end of the night John had one request, for a rain image. Being summer and no rain insight we dragged out water sprayers and gave the couple a wedding day memory to never forget.

Final thoughts

I spent a huge 10 hours with Amanda and John right up until the exit where they kissed their loved ones goodbye and John ran circles high fiving everyone. It was the perfect ending to this couples steamy hot January wedding.

What a way to kick start my 2019 wedding season!
