Mandoon Estate Wedding ~ 2nd November 2018

Amanda & Chris

Where do I start to blog about Amanda & Chris’s Mandoon Estate lunchtime wedding? I will start here by telling you all oh my gosh it was amazing!

When Amanda first enquired about wedding photography for their wedding it was important to find a wedding photographer who was good with kids and big Italian families.

Now let’s face it Simone Harris Photography doesn’t really jump out and say “hello Italian here” but if I tell you my Maiden name is “Galipo” that might indicate I knew exactly what Amanda meant when she said big Italian family.  Yes, I grew up cutting tomatoes and washing bottles and making sauce.

I also have kids! Yes, mine are a bit older than Amanda and Chris’s children however I totally get that memories with your kids at your weddings are important.

For Amanda and Chris, the ceremony was important as well as being able to relax with their loved one and enjoy the celebrations in a casual, relaxed yet beautiful setting.

Candice Bydder from Celebrations by Candice was chosen by the couple to perform the official legalities of the day. The ceremony was beautiful and included vows to the couple’s children. Check out the Ring security for the day! How cute do little Mr and Miss Pritchard look all dolled up for their mum and dad’s wedding.

Vows were exchanged, tears shed from family and friends and rings almost put on the right fingers! Yes it seems to be a regular occurrence with my brides to give their right hands to their grooms for the ring placement, I think they are just checking to make sure their grooms are paying attention at the ceremony. Chris was on it! Laughs were had all round and Amanda finally produced her left hand after containing her laughter. Its moments like these I need to remember to keep photographing! Love these real moments.

The newlyweds made their way up the aisle as husband and wife as bubbles were blown all around.

Kisses and Congratulations allow me to capture all the happiness guests have when they congratulate the couple. These are more real and raw moments I love to photograph at weddings. Seeing real emotion and how loved a couple is, is heart-warming and humbling.

We had a quick photo session with our newlyweds and then it was time for them to enter their stunning lunch time beer garden reception on the deck under those glorious trees at Mandoon Estate. They started with perfect heartfelt speeches which brought more laughter and tears, cut the cake, Chris licked the knife and in Italian fashion Amanda fed Chris cannoli! It is just not Italian if there are no cannoli at an Italian gathering.

There were lawn games, a table for children’s activities organised by Amanda’s cousin from Smartie Parties, bocce and a Scopa table. Courtney Murphy sung up a storm and Amanda was heard saying this was exactly what she wanted. Seeing all the kids playing and having a good time was perfect. What a perfectly planned day!

Finally, hugest congratulations to TeamPRITCHARD! What an honour to watch you say I Do and capture all your memories for you. Thanks for choosing me! xx
