Quarry Farm Terrace Wedding
Quarry Farm Terrace Wedding - 6th April 2019Aleasha & Luke
April 6th 2019 saw us head back to what feels like home to us, Quarry Farm, for a Quarry Farm Terrace wedding, for Bride Aleasha and her Groom Luke.
Leading up to the wedding day
Sometimes couples head into my studio showroom to meet and decide on Wedding Photography together. At times fiancees work away and Brides head in alone. I still remember the day beautiful Aleasha met with me. Her down to earth friendliness and beautiful eyes stick clear in my mind.
You have probably heard me say “Your vibe attracts your tribe”.
If it’s a relaxed, yet professional, friendly photographer you are after with a casual chilled vibe I might just be the Perth Wedding Photographer for you.
I love to catch up with my couples before the big day and meet the groom. It was no surprise to find Groom Luke just as chilled as Aleasha. I knew we were in for a great wedding day. Your vibe attracts your tribe, thus I could imagine their bridal party being an amazing bunch to work alongside.
The Wedding Day
The Grooms Preparations
Not far from our studio we found Groom Luke and his lads.
Oh boy was the atmosphere chilled and relaxed and calm.
Not what you would normally expect from a bunch of lads getting wedding ready without a female in sight.
Normally it’s a bit chaotic and unorganised.
Perhaps bride Aleasha had planned everything for these lads or they seriously have some skills in Grooms preparations. I think it may have been a bit of both with one of the groomsmen marrying in the weeks before, these lads knew exactly what they were doing.
We set about capturing details, sentiment and some funny moments with lots of laughter along the way.
The Brides Preparations
Okay, okay! You know this is one of my favourite moments. Walking into Bridal preparations. Seeing beaming smiles and being surrounded by beauty inside and out is all the motivation needed to make me fall in love with wedding photography over and over again.
Aleasha and her Tribe – WOW!
Just like the lads, these stunners were all organised, glammed up and ready to get bride Aleasha dressed to walk down the aisle to marry her Luke.
Beautiful neutral tones complimented by soft dusty pinks set the scene for Aleasha’s tribe.
With Florals to die for, a stunning wedding gown and perfect wavy locks, Bride Aleasha was ready to marry her man.
At one point during the day Aleasha said to me “if you see Luke smiling shoot away, I just love his face when he smiles and laughs” Awe be still our hearts. Being able to have this feeling after spending nearly 10 years together screams soul mate!
The Wedding Ceremony Location
We love Quarry Farm as an all in one wedding venue.
Boasting numerous locations around the venue for your wedding ceremony you are spoiled for choice.
Aleasha and Luke chose to have their wedding ceremony on Quarry Farms Terrace to take in the beautiful views of Quarry Farms dam and rolling hills and fields.
Mother Nature turned on perfect weather and add a beautiful ceremony by Wedding Celebrant Maggie Panaia these two soul mates were blessed with the perfect start to life as husband and wife.
We know Quarry Farm so well. We know where to take you on the property and when the light is best in the different locations.
Couples love the venue for its Iconic Jacaranda Laneway, the huge old tree, the peace and tranquility of being so close to Perth yet feeling you are so far away from the world.
We headed to the Sheds on the hill and hung out there for a bit. We had the most helpful groomsmen tossing the veil as well as the friendliest bunch to work with.
At one moment bride Aleasha was taking in the view of Quarry Farm whilst I was capturing the lads and as I turned the light was on point for a spectacular a bridal portrait. In excitement I yelled out for Aleasha to stay as she was – queue the groomsmen and his veil toss duty and with one click just like that we captured an image ever bride dreams of. Check it out in Black and White in the images below.
It was time to stroll the laneway, stopping at the big tree and head into the field for some sunset images.
The Wedding Reception
Enter the reception! It’s party time!
We timed Aleasha and Luke’s day to cover the start of the reception and included the cake cut. This was a hugely sentimental moment for these newlyweds.Groom Luke’s mum made that amazing Wedding Cake. Look at her talent. It smelt amazing.
We then whisked our bride and groom out for an night image before leaving them in the very capable hands of Groovy Entertainment. Gavin from Groovy Entertainment has over 20 years experience in the Industry as A Wedding DJ/MC. I love being able to offer couples packages that combine tremendous experience and skill, you can view them here.
With a hug and kiss we left these young lovers to party the night away.
Hugest congrats young lovers!
We can’t wait to see you all in 2020 for Bridesmaid Casey and Groomsman Rhys’s wedding! YAY! We are so excited to have that honour xxx
