Quarry Farm Wedding | Sophie & Jim. These lovers celebrated their first wedding anniversary on May 31st 2020, at a time when weddings were at a standstill. We thought we would take the time to flash back to their beautiful  Quarry Farm Wedding.

Bridal Preparations

I absolutely love the moment I knock on the door to preparations, to be greeted by brides, bridesmaids, parents and loved ones on a wedding day. The moment I get to see all of my brides choices, from her makeup, to her hair and her beautiful wedding dress and stunning veil brides spend months planning and choosing, is amazing!

Sophie and her tribe looked absolutely beautiful. From Sophie’s bridal hair piece, her dainty ribbon shoes to her stunningly long veil and her beauitful smile, we were in wedding heaven.

The Ceremony

On the last day in Autumn, Sophie and Jim said their “I do’s” in Quarry Farms beautiful shearing shed. Romantic white fabric drapes hung from the ceilings suspended ladders, candles adorned the wooden tree logs along the aisle, leading you to a beautiful fabric draped arbour decorated with a stunning floral arrangement.

Father of the Bride helps his daughter from Belle’s stunning vintage Jaguar, whilst inside Groom Jim awaits his brides entrance. Look for the moment guests are captured tearing up. We love weddings!

Jim beaming with pride as his wife to be walked towards him and Father of the bride winks at the guests as he proudly walks his daughter up the aisle. These moments are priceless!

Wedding ceremonies are ever so precious and personal. Capturing moments of your ceremony with your little children hovering where they feel most safe, between mummy and daddy, makes for the best wedding memories. Look out for Sophie and Jims son who steals the show.

Celebrant Craig Watson had the honours of legally uniting these two lovers for life. With the paper work signed Sophie and Jim, arm in arm, walked up the aisle as wifey and hubby, showered in a sea of colour and squeals of delight.

Bridal Party Photography at Quarry Farm

After ducking in to capture all the perfectly planned details of Sophie and Jims wedding reception in Quarry Farms Homestead, we wander out to explore the farm.

From the iconic Lovers Lane tree lined with Jacarandas, to the huge Fig Tree (that is so huge you have to see it in person,it’s amazing) we captured moments for these newlyweds.

Wedding days do not go without small hiccups. Look for the moment everyones attention is behind Sophie. Small Wedding Dress Zipper issue. Standing there, looking absolutely peaceful, is our awesome bride trusting her new hubby to fix it AND he did! Keep him for life Sophie, there is nothing Jim cant fix.

And with that the show went on. Smiles beamed. The Groomsmen bought out their game, the sun set, our lovers stole kisses and moments in the beautiful natural landscape that is Quarry Farm.

The Wedding Reception

The Homestead at Quarry Farm where wedding receptions are held and it looks stunning at night time.

Fairy lights, candles, hanging lights from the wooden ceilings and light up Mr and Mrs Signs on the terrace, really set the romantic mood for Sophie and Jims wedding.

Sophie and Jim chose one of the packages I offer with Groovy Entertainment.

What Do DJ’S/MCs do?

Do you know DJ’s do more than just play music at your wedding? 🎼🎧🎤

They help co-ordinate your wedding reception. From your entry, to your speeches, your cake cut, your first dance, your games and your exit.

They take on responsibilty for your sound both musically and on the Mic.

They MC your night too – well the execeptional ones do.

We have no hesitation in recommending Groovy Entertainment to take on this job at your wedding. Did you know Gavin has a music background, music is his passion. Gavin makes sure, as photographers 📸, we are ready to capture these important moments.

We also offer combined packages. This means that combined we have over 4 decades of expereince. No, we arent dinosaurs just yet – we have just been living our dreams since just out of highschool. 😁

Back to the wedding reception

Gavin made sure I was ready and setup to capture Sophie and Jims entry, from a cheeky kiss at the top of the stairs to beaming smiles, we caught it all.

The speeches saw fun and laughter as The father of the bride made reference to Jims height, maybe he made a joke about it, yes definately the second. Sophie’s dad is exeptionally tall – I almost felt I needed a ladder to stand on when photographing his speech. I loved how he worked the room and stood center of the dance floor for his speech.

All of the speeches saw fun, laughter and tears. I often get asked if its worth capturing speeches photographically, honestly, we capture some of the most natural candid moments of your wedding day during the speeches if we can freely work the room. Just check out this part of Sophie and Jims day. We love it! We will capture whatever you feel is important to your wedding day.

If you are looking for a romantic farm wedding venue, not far from Perth, you might just choose a Quarry Farm Wedding like Sophie and Jim.

I hope Sophie and Jim had the best first wedding anniversary. We enjoyed this flash back to this beautiful romantic wedding day, we hope you did too. If you are wedding planning we hope you find inspiration in the wedding photography and images.
