Quarry Farm Winter Wedding

9th June 2018 ~ Quarry Farm Winter Wedding

Alyssa & Aaron

Quarry Farm is the picture perfect wedding venue for your winter wedding! Just ask Alyssa and Aaron who planned their winter wedding at this stunning venue. Whilst most couples cringe at the thought of rain on their wedding day Alyssa was the opposite. She didn’t mind the possibility of some drizzle.

In the lead up to the wedding mother nature was looking quite vicious with thunderstorms and lightening due to hit  in the afternoon at ceremony time.

Come the day ~ my fairytale bride got her fairytale wedding! Mother nature played nice. We had a wintery day without blistering thunderstorms!  They say it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day ~ Alyssa and Aaron have a lifetime of good luck with the rain that fell that evening.

When you look through Alyssa and Aaron’s wedding day images you will notice touches of their personalities and passions! Their  ceremony officiated  by Rebecca O’Sullivan reflected their love and passions. Aaron won Alyssa’s heart when he gifted her books! If was the fact that he noticed what Alyssa was reading and took the time to give her a meaningful thoughtful gift.

As you look through this set of wedding photographs keep your eye out for little quirks from Star Trek. You might also work out Aaron’s favourite colour! Hint – watch for the suit change!

These two lovers not only incorporated their quirks into their wedding, Alyssa’s love for family and sentiment saw her wear a Veil first worn in 1930 by her Great Aunt. The veil was then worn in 1953 by bride Joy and again in 1985 by Alyssa’s mother Julie when she married Shane Keith. This touch of tradition added a touch of fairytale to my couples wedding.

I always ask my couples when they marry  at Quarry Farm where they would like to head for their wedding photography. Without a doubt the iconic laneway and the iconic huge old tree are always first choices. The limo from Thirties Limousines drove us up to the laneway near the big tree which added to the touch of grandness for my bride and groom. The gorgeous soft light made for stunning images.

As Alyssa twirled and laughed with her bridesmaids Aaron changed into his wedding reception suit! We didn’t miss him when he emerged. We made our way over the Quarry Farm bridge to their little island and laughed our way through a session with the bridal party which incorporated a few props and a battle between the Ladies and the Gents. It ended with a practice bridal dance and a dramatic image against the grey clouds.

Cue Reception time!

As always Gavin from Groovy Entertainment had a play list to suit this couple to a tee. Dance they did! As lovers danced around the dance floor and Alyssa dress twirled with her squad my mind was planning that final image fit for a fairytale ending to a fairytale wedding. We tracked an umbrella down and whisked our bride and groom out into the darkness and light drizzle and captured a bit of magic for Alyssa and Aaron.

At last Alyssa and Aaron had written another chapter in their book! Husband and Wife!

Congratulations Alyssa and Aaron. Best wishes for a wonderful lifetime together.
