RiverBank Estate Winery Wedding

RiverBank Estate Winery Wedding - 27th April 2019

Melissa & Jaimy

Melissa and Jaimy chose a RiverBank Estate Winery Wedding and I was honoured to be chosen as their  official Perth Wedding Photographer.

It was so lovely that Groom Jaimy met with me in my showroom to look at my work and report back to his bride Melissa. Melissa then reached out to come and see me based on Jaimy’s feedback. Before you know it these lovers chose me as their wedding photographer.

If you ever wonder what you really get when you hire me as your wedding photographer head here.

Mel and Jaimy chose one of the packages offered with Gavin from Groovy Entertainment.   You can see our packages here. Couples love being able to lock two wedding vendors in at once.

The Wedding Day

27th April 2019 was the date these lovers were to say I Do.

Autumn delivered the most perfect weather for a wedding.

With my camera gear loaded, I set off to find the Groom and his lads.

The Groom’s Preparations

I arrived to find Jaimy and his lads in great spirits.

Here is a warning – young eyes might wish to close for the grooms preparations. It’s not rated G, PG or even MA, in artwork, thanks to Jaimy’s groomsmen.

Firstly, on arrival to the grooms preparations, I normally arrive to find them wearing their “dress” pants and shirts, as per my tips. Not on this occasion!

Nevertheless, everyone was super chill and casual. Little did I know a practical joke was about to be played. The Victim – Me!

I set about photographing a special request by Jaimy – some artwork his body acquired the night before his wedding thanks to his groomsmen, whilst the lads were getting dressed? Well lad’s its great to see you all failed art class!

You may have passed your comedy class.

I asked Jaimy to get into his pants and shirt. I instructed the lad’s once they all had pants and shirts on to bring their jackets, shoes, ties etc to a larger area.

I’ve spared you all the images of the next event of the day – all the lads emerged wearing laughter, shirts and jocks! Picture that!

I think you all forgot something. After losing it laughing and remembering to shoot through it all to capture the humour of the day for Melissa the lads did manage to find their pants.

We somehow managed to get them all dressed, photographed and we were ready on time to leave to find Bride Melissa as per our schedule.

I knew we were in for a memorable day!

The Bride’s Preparations

On arrival to Melissa’s beautiful hills preparation address we found our radiant happy bride all smiles and looking stunning with hair and makeup completed.

Our bride’s preparations were just as chilled as the lads. It was great to be able to let our bride know the guys were all dressed, looking sharp with humour to boot!

Melissa’s wedding day came with lots of sentimental touches passes down through the generations. Look out for the bible, Melissa’s Veil and pockets sewn into her wedding dress with material from her dad and grandad’s shirts. Its these beautiful personal touches that make your wedding day sentimental, unique and memorable and a lovely way to tribute those family members who may have passed.

Jaimy had also written something a little special and personal for his beautiful Melissa.

From flowers and buttonholes made from books to three generations hands touching we captured all the sentiment of Melissa’s preparations.

It was time for Melissa to step into her dress, capture a few more must haves and make her way to marry the love of her life.

The Wedding Ceremony Location

The Vineyard at RiverBank Estate Winery in the Swan Valley provided the perfect backdrop for Melissa and Jaimy’s wedding ceremony.

The beautiful still autumn day saw the sun shining and perfect blue West Australian sky!

The guests were mingling and Jaimy smiling whilst awaiting Melissa’s arrival.

Melissa arrived in style in one of Belle Limousines stunning Rolls Royce vintage cars. Gracefully exiting the car Melissa made her way up the aisle to her soon to be husband. Just look at the love and happiness these two have for each other.

With a handfasting, vows and ring exchange Jaimy lifted the veil to kiss his wife.

The newlyweds were showered with rose petals as they walked up the aisle and we grabbed a ladder to capture a group photo of all the wedding guests.

We love their happy faces! Check the images out.

With light fading fast we whisked our bride and groom and their tribe away for a while to capture some wedding day memories.

The wall at RiverBank provides a perfect back drop for photography. Add a Classic Car from Belle Limousines and we captured timeless love and romance.

A quick walk down to the vineyards to use the rest of the days natural light gave the autumn tones of the vineyard’s grape vines a gorgeous glow with true colour tones. I scaled the bank for a little height looking back over the vineyard. Yes I will do what it takes to work within the law to get you great images. Professional photographers know this area in the Swan Valley is a no flight zone for drones.

We had a great time with the bridal party. Just look at the laughter!

Time to Party!

As guests made their way to their seats under the clear roof marquee strung with festoons, we eagerly awaited Melissa and Jaimy’s entry.

Gavin from Groovy Entertainment was ready to get the reception started and in came the bridal party followed by the newlyweds.

What we witnessed during the time we spent with these lovers and their loved ones during their wedding reception was love, friendship, laughter and tears of happiness during exceptionally proud moments.

It’s these casual candid wedding day moments we love to capture for you too.

Take a look at the moments captured during the speeches. Moments in time captured forever.

Being outside at RiverBank we just had to capture a few night images for Melissa and Jaimy with some of the iconic features this stunning wedding venue is well known for.

The old truck and the stunning rock feature wall and door way. We snuck a quick sparkler wedding photograph too.

It was time to kiss Melissa and Jaimy goodnight and leave them to continue to celebrate their love and  marriage with their loved ones.

Hugest congratulations Melissa and Jaimy! We loved spending time with you both and all of your family and friends on your wedding day. Keep smiling and joking!
