The Vines Resort Wedding
The Vines Resort Wedding - 1st December 2018Kristy & Trent
The gorgeous The Vines Resort & Country Club in the Swan Valley was the chosen wedding venue for Kristy and Trent’s first day of summer wedding.
I first met these young lovers in November 2017 when they were on the hunt for their wedding photographer. After meeting another photographer, they found themselves sitting in my office. I honestly think it was because Kristy is an animal lover. Low and behold her fur baby is her world, okay and so is Trent! Yep! I love doggies too and love and marriage and wedding photography!
Leading up to the Wedding Day.
Not only did these lover’s lock me in to photograph their wedding they also had me capture their engagement with a photography session with their fur baby!
Just before sunset one day in November 2017 we headed out for a walk to capture some memories for this gorgeous engaged pair. They chose their local hangout where they spend their time walking and playing with their fur baby.
Loving animals, it was no wonder Kristy and Trent fell in love with The Vines Resort & Country Club for their wedding ceremony and reception. Everywhere you turn there is wildlife. Kangaroos galore, ducks and water birds.
The Year flew by and before you could blink, the final plans were underway for the wedding day.
I met Kristy and Trent out at The Vines Resort & Country Club a few days out from their wedding day to attend their wedding rehearsal. Before the rehearsal we met Jenny, the wedding co ordinator at The Vines Resort to get the run down on where wedding photos are permitted. Jenny gave us a tour of The Vines Resort in a golf buggy. Some pointers about staying safe and avoiding flying golf balls was greatly appreciated.
We then headed to the Garden Pavilion to meet Anne Miller Marriage Celebrant Perth, the couples chosen celebrant, and most of the bridal party.
With some great guidance from Anne, the bride and groom and bridal party were all ready for the wedding day. Saturday December 1st 2018, Kristy and Trent’s wedding day!
The Wedding day
I arrived at Bride Kristy’s apartment at The Vines, to find 4 chilled bridesmaids and one utterly beautiful bride.
Low and behold at one stage it was Kristy and myself down stairs whilst the bridesmaids were upstairs giving interviews to Sam from Launch Video production. I just so happened to stare at Kristy a little too long, she was in amazing light and this bride has the most amazing soulful blue eyes you’ve ever seen. Queue tears from this wedding photographer – YES, those watery rain drops from your eyes – yes, my eyes!
I get so emotionally happy for my brides and when I see their happiness and glow on their wedding day it sometimes becomes a bit much. Kristy said “Don’t you cry, or I will” which snapped me back to wedding photographer mode.
I get to know my brides before the day and having spent time with these lovers and their fur babies I knew them a whole lot more!
It was so calm and relaxed and so utterly beautiful at this bride’s preparations.
We captured all the must haves, all the details Kristy had spent months planning, the moment the stunning bridesmaids helped dress Kristy and I then headed off to see if my Grooms preparations were as chilled and natural as my brides!
I walked over from one side of The Vines Resort & Country Club to the other, to find my Groom, Trent, and the groomsmen all pretty much ready.
This is a rarity!
They all had their pants on, shirts on and their funny personalities too! The only thing missing at that point was beer!
We captured some memories of Trent’s preparations, had some laughs with the groomsmen and low and behold the beer arrived!
Yes! The Grooms preparations were just as calm and chilled at the brides! This is a match made of perfection!
It’s a great sign that the rest of the day is going to be amazing.
The Wedding Ceremony at the Garden Pavilion at The Vines Resort
With my whole days coverage being in the one location all at The Vines Resort & Country Club, everything was in walking distance.
I left my groom and walked over to the Garden Pavilion for the wedding ceremony. Along the way I found some wedding guests and guided them to the Pavilion.
Anne Miller Marriage Celebrant Perth was all set up and ready to marry these young lovers. The groom and his groomsmen soon made their way to the pavilion and the sound of the Stretch EH Holden from Australian Classic limousines was soon heard. Our bride was arriving.
Kristy, like the modern goddess that she is, made her proud walk down the aisle after her tribe to her awaiting groom. Arm in arm they walked together up the stairs and stood hand in hand before family and friends to finally become husband and wife.
The ceremony by Anne was perfection for these lovers. With beaming smiles on their faces, they walked arm in arm up the aisle together in a shower of rose petals as husband and wife.
With kiss and congratulations captured, family memories photographed and a huge group image too it was time to head off for some bridal party photographs.
The Official wedding photography Session
Having your whole wedding day at The Vines Resort & Country Club is wonderful.
All the photographs can be taken on the grounds.
There is an abundance of Kangaroos which was must have images for Bride Kristy. Look out for them in the photos. I also managed to capture 3 little ducks in the background of one image near the Bougainvillea. Perfect timing!
We were guided to various spots by our own Buggy driver with the bridal party following in their own buggies.
I think my Groom has a thing for off roading and 4x4ing. One image looks like he’s about to go off roading in the golf cart, he turned the buggy and found the path and was on his way again.
We captured some images amongst The Vines which was also a must have photography location for Kristy and Trent. With Bridal party images captured, we left the bride and groom and bridal party and headed into their reception to await their grand entrance.
The Wedding Reception in the Cabernet Room.
Kristy and Trent opted for a 10-hour package coverage.
This meant we captured every important detail and moment of their wedding day.
Their wedding reception in the Cabernet Room at The Vines Resort looked amazing. It has views out over the golf course and looked so pretty before sunset. Foliage by Little Blossom Co. in the ceiling was perfection with the lighting. The Florals on the day were also amazing!
The bridal party made their grand entrance and our bride and groom entered with a twirl.
Entrees were served and not long after we snuck our bride and her groom out for some quick sunset/dusk images on the green.
Back into the reception it was time for speeches, the cutting of the wedding cake made by Tam Bakes Cakes and the spectacular first dance! Kristy is a dancer! Trent did amazing lifting, dipping and twirling his bride around. There were ooh’s and ah’s from all the guests.
With the first dance danced, it was time for the Shoe Game, the bouquet toss and then a Sparkler exit.
Kristy and Trent’s wedding day was Amazing. Just one thing, it went so fast! Where did the 10 hours go I had spent with my bride and groom and their bridal party. I got the biggest hugs from Mr and Mrs Dennis and their bridal party (maybe it was the alcohol consumed) as well as thanks for a great day. It seriously was the best way to end my 2018 wedding season! With the best Summer wedding at the Vines for 2018!
Kristy and Trent, I hope you love the blog and sneak peek at your wedding memories.
It was a great honour to get to know you both over the last 12 months and watch you have your happily ever after and your perfect wedding day.
A life time of love and happiness is headed your way! Keep smiling and loving your furry friends! xxx
