On Friday August 17th 2018, I joined Abby & Greg for their Vintage Glam Quarry Farm Wedding.
Abby & Greg opted for one of the popular wedding photography and DJ/MC packages I offer with Gavin at Groovy Entertainment. Did you know that between us, Groovy Entertainment and I have over 40 years of combined experience in our areas of expertise, meaning Abby and Greg were in great hands.
I got to meet Abby & Greg a few months before the wedding and knew from the moment I met these two that their wedding was going to be something special! How could it not – they are parents to twins! This says something. They are calm, relaxed, energetic and playful – everything you need to be to raise twins.
There was not a breath of winter in the air at this winter wedding. It was still, perfectly still!
This couple opted for me to start just before their ceremony at Quarry Farm. It was important for Abby to capture the parts of her wedding that reflected her culture. It was amazing.
Watch out for little Lulu who wasn’t as keen having her photo taken at her mummy and daddy’s wedding as her twin brother was. Somehow she managed to plant a kiss on him.
Belle Classic Limousines drove the couple around Quarry Farm in the gorgeous vintage REO SpeedWagon limousine.⠀
The atmosphere was alive as Abby and Greg entered their reception with Drummers and a Belly Dancer. The couple danced up a traditional dance storm and I found myself in the middle of the drummers photographing these amazing memories for Abby & Greg. I loved the speeches. With them came so much laughter which made for amazing photographs. Then came that time of night that Abby’s loved ones dressed her up in Gold Jewellery. There was so much sentiment in that tradition with Abby receiving a very special ring from her brother who also walked her down the aisle.
I whisked these two lovers out into the chill of the night for a quick image in Quarry Farm’s gazebo. It’s on the island in the dam and was where these two said I do. The perfect spot to capture that special wedding night image.
Just as Abby was dressed in gold, its clear she has a heart of gold.
By the end of her wedding weekend she visited her wedding vendors with some heart warming words.
