Belvoir Homestead Wedding ~ 3rd November 2018

Rebecca & Andy

November 3rd, 2018 was the wedding date Rebecca and Andy chose to stand before their loved ones and finally say I Do at Belvoir homestead. Spring delivered perfect Perth weather for these lovers to start married life.

Often couples are left wondering how far in advance they should secure their wedding photographer.

I first met Rebecca way back at the start of 2017! Almost 2 years out from the wedding day.

My advice to brides is to find a photographer whose style you love and whose personality you love and lock them in.

Wedding day memories in the form of photographs were so important to my bride.  Rebecca and Andy had their two children as a flower girl and page boy. Capturing memories with them was of utmost importance. I’ll let you check the images out in the blog to see these cuties.

Over nearly 2 years I got to know Rebecca very well! I am always more than happy to head out to venues to help my couple’s photography dreams come true. Getting to know you also helps you relax on your wedding day.

The Wedding Day

I started the day with Andy’s preparations. It was no surprise that when I tell the lads I need them in pants and shirts at a set time, I arrive to find them still showering and running late. Rebecca tells me Andy had a good reason. Andy and the lads got lost at the Vines in the Golf Buggies and couldn’t find their way back. Hahaha.

Andy also had a special helper to help him get dressed. Little Elliot. He took his job very seriously. Check him out using Andy’s suit for some father son play fighting time.  Luckily Andy’s parents had flown over from the UK to be at their son’s wedding, mother of the groom Sue was able to help Andy with his finishing touches, like his tie.

It was time for a few shots with the lads and off I trekked through the Vines to find my Bride and her tribe.

Lugging my photography gear, I walked straight past my bride’s room and I heard a familiar voice call out to me. Turning I saw my stunning bride, Rebecca. My jaw hit the floor. She said something along the lines of don’t look at me like that or I will cry.  Her Hair, her makeup equalled perfection and she was still in her robe. I imagined what she would look like in her wedding dress.

Lyndal Evans from Lyndal Evans Makeup Artist was in charge of makeup for the day. This lady has some serious skills in bridal makeup with decades of experience on the end of a her makeup brush.

It was time for Rebecca to help daughter, flower girl Charlotte get dressed. Yes, there were proud mum tears.

My Bride and her tribe ditched the champagne shot and went for the Pimm’s shot! Be still my heart. Another reason I love Rebecca and something else we have in common. Pimm’s.

With my stunning bride and her tribe all dressed we snapped a few memories then left them to enjoy the ride to Belvoir in the stunning Jag Mary from THE BWCO.

Over at Belvoir Homestead Tammy Wood was patiently waiting the arrival of the bride to get these lovers hitched. The couple chose a warming of the rings where the ring box was passed amongst guests.  I captured a moment of them being rubbed on a pregnant belly!

In the Barn at Belvoir, Andy and Rebecca became husband and wife. In a special touch they placed sealed letters and a bottle of wine away for the future.

Family and friends of the newlyweds kissed and congratulated them then we headed off for family photos and pictures of the stunning newlyweds.

I gave them a minute to breathe in the car alone and soak up the reality of the whirlwind of their wedding day, as they went for a drive and I’m sure a laugh or two.

It was time to enter their wedding reception, enjoy their first meal as husband and wife and laugh along at the speeches.

Another special moment, is little flower girls doing cartwheels at wedding receptions! Yes, look out for Miss Charlotte cartwheeling away.

When you look through the blog keep and eye out for the wedding favours. Jams and Chutney made by the bride. Is there anything my brides cant do? Amazing!

I whisked these lovers outside for a quick night image. Night Images are fast becoming my favourite time of the night.

When back inside it was time to cut the cake and before you knew it Gavin, from Groovy Entertainment, was calling the newlyweds up for their first dance.  After a couple of twirls around the dance floor the guest joined in the dancing It was then time for me to kiss my bride and groom goodnight and wish them a happy start to married life.

To Rebecca, I know you waited a long time to marry your forever and your happily ever after, it was a great honour to watch you say I do and capture all these memories for you. xx

Huge congratulations to my gorgeous bride and groom and their little ones.
