Wedding The Vines Resort

The Vines Resort Wedding - 12th September 2020

Sarah & David

Spring is a beautiful time for a wedding at The Vines Resort, the chosen wedding venue of Sarah and David. The Vines Resort offers accomodation allowing a Bride and Groom to have their entire wedding in one location. Your wedding guests can book a room and stay the night too.

Weddings all in the one location means we can fit so much into your wedding photography package. From bride and groom preparations right through to dancing.

I came to be at Sarah and Davids wedding via recommendation from one of my past Brides and Grooms. It’s so lovely when I get to see my former couples 3 years on. Nat  & Matt were gueats at Sarah and Davids wedding, smiles still beaming.

Grooms Preparations

Before heading to David, I stopped by Sarah’s apartment to say hello to her and her tribe.

The moment I saw Sarah she was glowing. Her beautiful soft wavy blonde hair falling perfectly, teamed with gorgous makeup both by  Tracey Kaye, Sarah looked amazing!

It was time to wander across to the Resort rooms and find Groom David and his Best Man Mathew.

The lads were cool and calm. They had spent the morning in Hillarys for breakfast and a couple of quiet drinks.

I set about capturing the finer details like those gorgeous penguin cufflinks. Penguins mate for life and Bride Sarah knows David is her penguin.

It was time for the lads to get dressed, Vest, tie, cullflinks all was going well until one word David, Socks!

Check out the moment David realises his socks were too short. This is where choosing the Best Man is super important. A best mans responsibilites comes with cufflinks to prove he’s the Best Man for the job! Mat saves the day with a spare pair of black dress socks. Look out for this moment in the images.

We shared some laughs, captured some laughs, a cheek pinch, Groom David dancing with his … 1 Million Cologne bottle, Yes Sarah it happened! And we captured the moment David opened his card from Sarah.

Time went so fast it was time  to head back to the Bridal Preparations.

Bridal Preparations

Back at our Brides Apartment, wedding preparations were well underway.

Once again I set about capturing the finer details. Those all imporetant small touches brides spend months and months planning. We Capture it all.

The way a Bride pays tribute to those they love who have left the earth, amazes me. In tribute to her grandparents a Butterfly, a Kilt Pin and a little soldier trinket adorned Sarah’s Bouquet.

Look out for the little penguin (for Groom David) that also is placed in Sarah’s Bouquet.

Sarah slipped into her beautiful wedding dress by Hobnob Bridal, with beautiful mother of the bride, Edwina, helping with the buttons.

Sarah’s best friend helps put her veil in place. These are the forever moments.

We captured some very precious memories with Sarah’s family and the moment Sarah opens the card from her penguin, soon to be husband, David.

With a quick glance at our watch, ceremony time is fast approaching and we leave our bride Sarah to gather her thoughts before she makes her walk down the aisle.

The Wedding Ceremony

The Garden Pavilion at The Vines Resort is beautiful for your wedding ceremony. It keeps the guests undercover and the raised ceremony area allows everyone to get a perfect view of your wedding vows.

The Swan Valley Celebrant, Nina, was the celebrant responsible for all the legals at Sarah and Davids wedding.

As Sarah and Father of the bride make their way down the aisle a Proud Groom is waiting to take his brides hand.

Once holding her Grooms hand Sarah is spotted checking out her soon to be husbands Penguins cufflinks.

These two young lovers look at eachother with love and adoration throughout the ceremony, and yes we captured those looks forever.

With Mat performing his second job of the day, first being to save the day with socks, he brings the rings forward for these lovers to exchange.

With vows and rings exchanged David embraces his wife in the most epic first kiss moment.

The newlyweds and their witnesses head over to sign the documents, followed by a poem read by Sarah’s bestie. Hand in hand these lovers walk up the aisle with a cheeky tongue pull at the end and we love it!

Finally husband and wife!

We captured the kiss and congraulations and a huge group photo, some important family photos and then headed off in the golf buggies for some bridal party memories.

Bridal Party Photos at the Vines Resort

Come time for your bridal party photos on your wedding day at The Vines Resort, golf buggies are provided and a chauffeur to take you around the grounds on the day.

You are bound to see a Kangaroo or two, and if you are lucky enough, even a baby joey poking out of mums pouch.

We captured some casual in the moment memories for Sarah and David. They shared a joke or two, I’m sure you will see those moments, Groom David what were you saying? We know, we know it’s just not for our blogs delicate ears  your expressions are priceless.

With light fading fast and the reception entry time approaching quickly we left these lovers head to the Bridal Suite to freshen up, have a drink or two, some canapes and we headed to the reception area to await their entry.

The Wedding Reception

Sarah and David chose the Cabernet room at The Vines resort for their wedding reception.
With views over the golf course and stunning greenery draping from the ceiling, adorned it with beautiful lighting, this room reflects love and glowing romance.

Our bride and groom make a twirling entry and head straight to cut their wedding cake made by Hummingbird Cakes.

First up on speeches was Father of the Bride Keith, followed by Father of the Groom, Russell. Look out for the moment between Russell and David. We love these moments!

Sarah arranged for a very sentimental song to be played. We captured the emotion behind it as Mother of the Bride and Sarah’s Brother shared that very sentimental moment. We know these photos will be cherished.

As the evening progessed, the guests enjoyed a spectalular buffet.

Sister of the Bride, Alexandra and The Best Man, Mat were next in line for speeches.

Weddings are full of one time moments. Father and Daughter dances are moments Brides get to show their loved ones just how special their fathers are to them. We loved the moment Sarah spent dancing with her dad.

Queue dessert. Sarah had one request on her wedding night, to be served a big piece of wedding cake. We had to capture it. I can confirm, the wedding cake was absolutely delicious.

It was time for our Bride and Groom to get the party started and open the dance floor. Watch out for all that dress twirling fun. Guests danced their socks off. It was amazing to watch (after all that ISO life ) and capture.

Sarah and David

Hugest congratulations! It was such an honour to capture all those sentimental moments for you on your perfect wedding day. All the little touches you added to your day in memory of loved ones and the moments you created to show how much you love and cherished all who were present on your day was spectacular.
