22 Best Wedding Celebrants in Perth for 2026 & 2027
Wedding Celebrants Perth | Perth Wedding Celebrants
Anne Miller
Anne is one of the first celebrants I would suggest couples look at.
I’ve photographed weddings with Anne and have seen exactly what happens when you combine a huge amount of experience with a genuine love of weddings.
She has now married more than 1,000 couples and has picked up some pretty serious industry recognition along the way, including being named Western Australia’s #1 Marriage Celebrant in 2024 and 2025 and Australia’s #1 Marriage Celebrant in 2025.
The thing I like most about working with Anne is that she knows how to make the ceremony about the couple.
There is humour, emotion and personality, but she also knows when to let a moment sit.
After you’ve photographed hundreds of ceremonies, you learn that you don’t need to fill every second with words.
I’d suggest Anne if: you want an experienced celebrant who can keep things relaxed while still giving your ceremony plenty of substance.
Celebrant Cel
Cel is one of those celebrants who brings a very modern feel to weddings.
I’ve worked with her and she has a natural ability to make couples feel comfortable, which is particularly handy when you’re standing at the front of a crowd wondering what on earth you’re supposed to do with your hands.
Her ceremonies are built around the couple rather than trying to squeeze them into a traditional wedding formula. She also offers MC services, so she can potentially continue into the reception too.
What I enjoy about photographing Cel’s ceremonies is the interaction.
Couples aren’t just standing there waiting for the legal bits to finish.
They’re actually involved in what’s happening.
I’d suggest Cel if: you want something modern, relaxed and genuinely personal.
Celebrant in Style - Robyn Paterson
Robyn has a wonderfully relaxed personality and is another celebrant I’ve worked with extensively.
She’s also a personal stylist, which gives her a pretty good eye for the overall presentation of a wedding.
Her ceremonies are light, warm and personal, and she has a particularly easy way with couples.
I’ve photographed weddings with Robyn where you can see the couple gradually relax as the ceremony progresses.
That’s exactly what you want.
Nobody should feel like they’re performing.
Robyn also offers intimate weddings and elopements through RPPR Weddings. RPPR Weddings was voted number 1at the Wedding Industry Awards for Perth in 2024 and 2025 for Intimate Elopements. Robyn won best Intimate Elopement Business at the 2025 Australian Wedding Awards.
I’d suggest Robyn if: you want someone friendly, relaxed and particularly good with smaller or intimate weddings. Robyn is know as the queen of beach weddings in the Perth wedding scene.
Celebrations with Linley
Linley is another celebrant I’ve worked with at weddings, and she brings plenty of personality to the day.
She’s the sort of celebrant who can make a room feel comfortable without turning the ceremony into a performance about the celebrant. There is plenty of laughter, but she also knows when a moment needs to be allowed to breathe.
I’ve seen how much difference that can make.
A nervous couple can walk up the aisle looking slightly terrified and, a few minutes later, they’re laughing, talking to each other and actually enjoying what’s happening.
Linley also offers MC services, along with packages for elopements, micro weddings and smaller civil ceremonies.
Her MC option is particularly handy for couples who like the idea of having the same person guide the day from the ceremony through to the reception.
I’d suggest Linley if: you want a relaxed, fun celebrant who will get to know you properly and create a ceremony that feels like the two of you.
Chris Temov
Chris brings a more understated style to the celebrant role.
I’ve worked with him and he’s particularly good at making a ceremony feel polished without making it feel like a formal stage production.
His current offerings include both smaller elopement-style ceremonies and more involved personalised ceremonies, with options for couples who want something simple or something with more storytelling.
That flexibility is useful because not every couple wants a 30-minute comedy routine.
Sometimes you just want a beautiful ceremony, your favourite people around you and enough time to actually enjoy the moment.
One thing I noticed about Chris, hes always helping. Lighting candles, handing out confetti, nothing is too much trouble for Chris.
Chris is also comfortable working in different locations around Perth, including beaches and parks.
I’d suggest Chris if: you like the idea of a relaxed, polished ceremony without unnecessary fuss.
Dawn Nosworthy
Dawn is another celebrant I’ve worked with over the years.
She’s experienced, confident and comfortable speaking to a crowd, which becomes particularly important when you have a ceremony with a lot of guests.
I’ve watched her work with couples and families, and she has a calm presence that helps settle people.
That’s particularly useful when the bride is nervous, the groom is trying not to cry and somebody in the bridal party has forgotten where they’re supposed to stand.
It happens.
Dawn’s ceremonies are personalised around the couple, and she also offers rehearsals and PA equipment as part of her service.
I’d suggest Dawn if: you want an experienced celebrant who is confident, organised and good at making people feel comfortable
Eternal Love Celebrancy - Erin Lovall
Erin is another celebrant I’ve worked with and she brings a lovely relaxed energy to weddings.
The ceremony can be important without being overly serious.
That’s something I think Erin gets particularly well.
There is room for emotion, laughter and all the little reactions that happen when someone is telling the story of two people who have decided to get married.
Those reactions are gold for a photographer.
The couple relaxes, the guests get involved and suddenly the ceremony becomes something people are actually experiencing rather than simply watching.
I’d suggest Erin if: you want a heartfelt ceremony that still feels relaxed and enjoyable.
Jesse Burford — Jesse B Celebrancy
If you’ve been looking at Perth wedding celebrants, there’s a good chance you’ve come across Jesse Burford.
I’ve worked with Jesse at weddings, so I’ve seen him in action rather than just on a website. He brings plenty of energy to a ceremony and is very comfortable getting a crowd involved.
With a background in music, performance and MC work, being in front of a room full of people is clearly his comfort zone. He also offers MC services, making him a good option for couples who want the same personality carrying through from the ceremony into the reception.
You may also recognise Jesse from that married reality TV show thou shall not be named.
From my perspective, Jesse is best suited to couples who don’t want a quiet, formal ceremony and would rather have someone who can make people laugh, keep things moving and bring plenty of personality.
I’d suggest Jesse if: you want a fun, energetic celebrant who is completely comfortable in front of a crowd.
Julie Chesson
Julie is another Perth celebrant I’ve worked with, and she’s well established within the local wedding industry.
I’ve seen her working with couples at real weddings, which is why she belongs on this list.
A good celebrant needs to manage the practical side of the ceremony while still making it feel personal.
Julie does that with a calm, professional approach.
She is also listed among the preferred celebrants for Wanneroo Botanic Gardens, alongside several other established Perth celebrants.
I’d suggest Julie if: you want an experienced Perth celebrant with a calm and professional approach.
Kirk Goodsell
Kirk has been a celebrant since 2008 and has officiated at more than 1,000 weddings.
I’ve worked with Kirk, and that amount of experience is noticeable.
There is a confidence that comes from having seen just about everything.
Rain doesn’t cause panic.
A nervous couple doesn’t cause panic.
A timeline that’s suddenly running late doesn’t cause panic.
That is exactly the sort of person you want standing beside you on a wedding day.
Kirk can keep things relaxed and modern while still making sure the ceremony has the importance it deserves.
I’d suggest Kirk if: experience is high on your list and you want someone who knows how to handle whatever the wedding day throws at him.
Kylee Payne
Kylee is another celebrant I’ve worked with and she puts a lot of effort into getting to know her couples.
That sounds obvious, but it really isn’t.
Your celebrant is telling your story to the people you love.
The better they know you, the less likely your ceremony is going to sound like something generated from a standard wedding template.
Kylee also works closely with the other wedding suppliers, which I particularly appreciate as a photographer.
A wedding day works best when the suppliers aren’t operating in separate little bubbles.
I’d suggest Kylee if: you want a personalised ceremony and a celebrant who understands that the ceremony is part of the bigger wedding day.
Love by Larissa
Larissa is one of Perth’s younger celebrants, having started in 2021, but she’s already married more than 180 couples.
I’ve worked with Larissa and her approach is very much suited to couples who don’t want their ceremony to become a lengthy formal exercise.
She puts plenty of personality into the storytelling while keeping things moving.
That’s important.
Your guests have come to celebrate with you, not complete a university degree in the history of your relationship.
Larissa also has a creative writing background, which makes sense when you hear the way she approaches a couple’s story.
MCing your reception is also one of her skills.
I’d suggest Larissa if: you want a modern, light-hearted ceremony that actually sounds like you.
Luke Firth
Luke has been around the Perth celebrant scene for a long time and has officiated at more than 700 weddings.
I’ve worked with Luke and that experience really does show.
He’s comfortable in front of a crowd and understands how to keep the ceremony moving without rushing the important moments.
Luke also works across Perth and travels further afield, including down south and to Exmouth.
For couples planning something outside the standard Perth wedding, that’s worth knowing.
I’d suggest Luke if: you want a highly experienced celebrant who can handle everything from a local wedding to something further afield.
Magical Moments by Marcella — Marcella Cranny-Connolly
Marcella is another celebrant I’ve worked with at weddings.
What I notice with Marcella is the personal connection she builds with her couples.
A ceremony should never feel as though the celebrant has simply arrived, opened a folder and started reading.
There should be some sense that this person actually knows who they’re marrying.
Marcella brings that personal side to the job, and it makes a difference to how comfortable couples are once they reach the front.
I’d suggest Marcella if: you want someone warm and personal who takes the time to understand your relationship.
Marry Me Josh
Josh is definitely not the celebrant for couples who want the ceremony to disappear quietly into the background. BONUS – Josh can also DJ and MC!
I’ve worked with Josh and he brings plenty of energy.
That’s not a bad thing.
In fact, for the right couple it’s exactly what you want.
He can get guests involved, keep the atmosphere lively and make the ceremony feel like the beginning of the celebration rather than an obstacle between the bridal party and the bar.
There is still plenty of heart underneath the personality.
I’d suggest Josh if: you want your ceremony to be fun, energetic and full of personality.
Mark Kenny Celebrations
Mark is another celebrant I’ve worked with and he’s extremely comfortable in front of people.
His background in singing and acting probably doesn’t hurt.
He also makes a fabulous MC for your wedding reception.
There’s something very useful about a celebrant who can stand in front of a crowd without looking even remotely nervous.
Mark’s approach is relaxed and conversational, with plenty of room for humour.
The couple remains the focus, though, which is important.
I’d suggest Mark if: you want someone relaxed, confident and very comfortable speaking in front of a crowd.
Michelle Richardson — Marry Us Michelle
Michelle is Perth-based and works with both larger weddings and intimate elopements. Her current ceremony offerings focus on creating something personal, warm and engaging rather than simply following a standard format.
I’ve worked with Michelle and know that she brings a lovely energy to the couples she marries.
There is also something to be said for a celebrant who genuinely enjoys the storytelling side of the job.
Your ceremony should contain the things that make your relationship yours.
The weird bits.
The funny bits.
The stuff your friends already know.
Those are often the parts guests remember.
I’d suggest Michelle if: you want a warm, upbeat celebrant who will put your own story at the centre of the ceremony.
That Celebrant Girl
Alysha, better known as That Celebrant Girl, brings a slightly different energy to the role.
I’ve worked with her and have seen her adapt to very different couples.
That’s important because one couple might want a quiet, emotional ceremony while another wants plenty of laughs.
Alysha’s recent weddings show that she works across both ends of that spectrum, from intimate ceremonies through to larger celebrations.
The ability to read the couple is far more important than having one fixed style.
I’d suggest That Celebrant Girl if: you want someone personable and adaptable who can shape the ceremony around the two of you.
The stuff your friends already know.
Those are often the parts guests remember.
I’d suggest Michelle if: you want a warm, upbeat celebrant who will put your own story at the centre of the ceremony.
The Wednesday Wedding Celebrant
Tori is the woman behind The Wednesday Wedding Celebrant, and she has rather more strings to her bow than the name initially suggests.
Alongside celebrancy, she offers MC, DJ and live singing services.
I’ve worked with Tori and she brings plenty of energy to a wedding.
Her business name also has a story behind it — Wednesday is traditionally associated with being a particularly fortunate day to marry in English folklore.
No, you don’t actually have to get married on Wednesday.
Thankfully.
I’d suggest Tori if: you want a lively celebrant and like the idea of having one person potentially take on several roles throughout your wedding.
The Wheatbelt Celebrant
If you’re getting married outside Perth, don’t automatically assume you need a metro celebrant.
I’ve worked with The Wheatbelt Celebrant and know how valuable it can be having someone who understands the different rhythm of a country wedding.
The Wheatbelt isn’t just Perth with a longer drive.
Country weddings often have a different feel, different locations and a different sort of guest experience.
A celebrant who understands that environment can fit naturally into the day.
I’d suggest The Wheatbelt Celebrant if: you’re planning a country wedding, heading east of Perth or simply want someone who understands weddings outside the metro bubble.
Tina Buri
Tina is another celebrant I’ve worked with and she’s one of those people who seems to genuinely enjoy being around people.
She’s also a celebrant and MC, so she can potentially stay with you into the reception.
Her style sits nicely in the middle.
You get humour and personality without the ceremony turning into a comedy show.
There’s emotion without everything becoming overly serious.
I’ve seen Tina handle the unexpected side of weddings too, which is one of the things I value most in a celebrant.
I’d suggest Tina if: you want someone warm, confident and able to roll with whatever happens on the day.
Vows by Val
Val has a lovely way of helping couples settle into the ceremony.
That is particularly noticeable from behind the camera.
You can see the moment the nerves start disappearing.
Shoulders drop.
People start looking at each other instead of looking at the celebrant.
The couple starts laughing naturally.
That’s when the good photographs happen.
Val brings a personal approach to the ceremony and gives couples room to actually experience what’s happening.
I’d suggest Val if: you want a warm, personal ceremony with someone who makes you feel comfortable.
So, which Perth wedding celebrant should you choose?
Honestly?
Talk to them.
Don’t choose your celebrant solely because they have the prettiest Instagram account.
Don’t choose them because someone told you they’re “the best”.
Don’t even choose them because they are the cheapest.
Have a conversation.
You are going to spend time with this person before your wedding and then have them standing beside you while you get married.
You need to feel comfortable with them.
Perhaps you want somebody who will have everyone laughing.
Maybe you’re after a quieter ceremony where the emotion does most of the talking.
A big personality might be exactly what you need, or it could be the last thing you want.
Your wedding is yours.
The ceremony should feel like you, too.
And here’s what I’ve learnt after photographing weddings since 1998
The best ceremonies aren’t necessarily the most elaborate ones.
Sometimes it’s the tiny moment between the couple that makes the best photograph.
A look.
A laugh.
A nervous squeeze of a hand.
Someone in the front row trying desperately not to cry.
The couple cracking up because the celebrant has just told a story their friends know far too well.
That’s the stuff I want to photograph.
Your celebrant has a big part to play in creating that atmosphere.
So have a look through these 22 Perth wedding celebrants.
Check out their websites.
Look at their ceremonies.
Talk to a few.
Then choose the person you can genuinely imagine standing beside you when you say:
“I do.”
And if you’re still looking for the person who is going to photograph everything that happens before, during and after those two little words…
that’s where I come in.
