Top 10 Perth Wedding Venues for 2026: A Guide to Your Dream Day
Perth's Best Wedding Venues
A Perth wedding photographer’s guide to some of my favourite wedding venues. So you’re getting married. Congratulations. Now comes the fun part. Trying to choose where you’re actually going to do it. There are so many wedding venues around Perth and WA that it can become a full-time job just looking at them all. Wineries, farms, orchards, estates, cider houses, gardens, private properties… And, of course, every venue website tells you their venue is beautiful. They probably are. But as a wedding photographer, I look at venues a little differently. I’m thinking about the light. Where you’re going to get married. Where we’ll photograph your family. Where we’ll take you for portraits. What happens if it rains. or if it’s 38 degrees. Whether there are different places to photograph you throughout the day. And most importantly, whether the venue actually feels like you. So I’ve put together ten wedding venues I think are worth looking at if you’re planning a Perth or WA wedding. They’re listed alphabetically because I’m not interested in starting a fight over which one is number one. They’re all different. And that’s the point.
Location
Address: 200 The Boulevard, Wembley Downs WA 6019
Website: Ambrose Estate
The Details
Wembley Downs
If you want somewhere that feels elegant without feeling like you’ve been dropped into a giant wedding factory, Ambrose Estate is worth a look.
It’s in Wembley Downs, which means you’re close to Perth but still get that feeling of having somewhere beautiful and private for the day.
There are lawns, the lake and plenty of greenery, which gives you options for photographs rather than having to stand in one spot all afternoon.
And that’s something I always look for.
A venue can be beautiful, but if every photograph has the same background, it becomes a little less interesting.
Ambrose gives you different environments to work with.
Why I’d consider it
It’s a good option if you want something polished but still want plenty of greenery and outdoor space.
And being relatively close to Perth is handy for guests who don’t want to travel halfway across WA to attend your wedding.
From a photographer’s point of view
I’d be looking at the light throughout the day and making use of the grounds rather than simply taking you to the most obvious photo spot.
Because your wedding photographs should look like your wedding, not every other wedding photographed at the venue.
Location
Address: 576 Telephone Ln, Baldivis WA 6171
Website: Baldivis Farm Stay
The Details
Baldivis
Now we’re getting into my sort of territory.
If a traditional wedding venue isn’t really your thing and you’d rather have something relaxed, rustic and a little less polished, Baldivis Farm Stay is worth putting on your list.
There’s space.
I have to mention the farm environment with a few farm animals.
You have room for a wedding to actually feel like a wedding rather than a production.
And that’s something I really like.
You can create a day that feels personal rather than simply choosing a package and ticking boxes.
Why I’d consider it
Particularly good for couples who want a relaxed country wedding, DIY elements and plenty of personality.
It’s also the sort of place where you can let the surroundings become part of the photographs.
From a photographer’s point of view
Give me somewhere with interesting light, open space and people who are actually enjoying themselves and I’m happy.
I don’t need a giant ballroom and a thousand decorations to make a photograph work.
Sometimes less is much more.

Location
Address: 35 Merrivale Road, Pickering Brook WA 6076
Website: Core Cider House
The Details
Pickering Brook, Perth Hills
If you like the idea of getting married somewhere surrounded by orchards, greenery and hills rather than buildings and traffic, Core Cider House is one to investigate.
It’s in Pickering Brook in the Perth Hills and has a completely different feel from a city wedding venue.
You’ve got apple orchards, the surrounding hills and that lovely country atmosphere.
And then there’s the cider.
Obviously.
Why I’d consider it
It’s a great option for couples who want a relaxed wedding with a strong food-and-drink component and plenty of natural surroundings.
It doesn’t feel like you’re simply putting decorations into a blank room and calling it a wedding.
The location does a lot of the work for you.
From a photographer’s point of view
The orchards and surrounding landscape give you plenty of opportunities for natural photographs.
And I particularly like venues where you can move around and photograph different parts of the day without everything looking the same.
Location
Address: 1495 Nelson Road, Darlington WA 6070
Website: Darlington Estate
The Details
Darlington, Perth Hills
Darlington Estate is tucked away in the Perth Hills and has a very different atmosphere from a city wedding venue.
It’s surrounded by the sort of greenery that makes you forget you’re still relatively close to Perth.
There’s a lovely combination of natural surroundings and a more intimate feel, which suits couples who don’t necessarily want a huge, formal wedding.
Why I’d consider it
If you’re looking for a Perth Hills wedding with a more intimate atmosphere, I’d definitely have a look.
It’s particularly suited to couples who like the idea of a wedding surrounded by trees and nature.
From a photographer’s point of view
The Perth Hills are brilliant for photography because the environment changes the feel of the photographs.
You get trees, texture, depth and different types of light.
And I always prefer that to taking 500 photographs in exactly the same location.

Location
Address: 127 Jalbrook Road, Balingup WA 6253
Website: Jalbrook Estate
The Details
Balingup, South West WA
Okay, technically we’re leaving Perth for this one.
But if you’re willing to travel for your wedding, Jalbrook Estate is absolutely worth considering.
Located in Balingup in the South West, it has a completely different feel from the Perth venues on this list.
It’s peaceful, surrounded by gardens and nature, and feels much more like a destination wedding than simply heading to another Perth venue.
Why I’d consider it
If you want to get away from everything and make the wedding a proper experience for you and your guests, this is the sort of place I’d look at.
It’s particularly suited to smaller, intimate weddings where the surroundings are a big part of the experience.
And yes, the outdoor spa situation isn’t exactly a hardship either.
From a photographer’s point of view
The South West gives you a completely different environment to work with.
Gardens, trees, countryside and natural surroundings mean the photographs don’t have to be manufactured.
The location already has a story.

Location
Address: 1130 Haddrill Rd, Baskerville WA 6056
Website: Lily Farm House
The Details
Baskerville, Swan Valley
Lily Farm House is in Baskerville and has that lovely combination of country surroundings and a more refined wedding setting.
It’s the sort of venue I’d suggest looking at if you want something intimate and personal rather than enormous.
And being in the Swan Valley means you’re surrounded by plenty of other great places for guests to eat, drink and stay.
Why I’d consider it
It’s a good fit for couples wanting something relaxed and personal without going completely rustic.
There’s enough character in the surroundings that you don’t need to cover every available surface in decorations.
From a photographer’s point of view
I like venues with personality.
Give me somewhere with interesting spaces, natural surroundings and good light and I can create a gallery with variety.
And that’s what I want.
Location
Address: Old Chestnut Lane, Jarrahdale WA 6124
Website: Millbrook Winery
The Details
Jarrahdale
Millbrook Winery is one for couples who love the idea of a vineyard wedding but also want plenty of forest and natural surroundings.
It’s tucked away in Jarrahdale, so you get the feeling of being somewhere well away from the city.
And that’s part of the appeal.
The vineyard, greenery, lake and surrounding forest give you a lot to work with.
Why I’d consider it
If food, wine and a beautiful setting are high on your list, this one deserves a look.
It’s also a great option if you want a venue that feels sophisticated without being overly formal.
From a photographer’s point of view
This is exactly the sort of venue where I want to photograph you moving through the property rather than keeping you in one designated portrait location.
There’s enough variety to make the photographs feel like a story.
Location
Address: 1088 Brookton Highway, Karragullen WA 6111
Website: Naked Apple Cider
The Details
Karragullen, Perth Hills
If the words “traditional wedding venue” make you want to run in the opposite direction, Naked Apple Cider might be more your style.
It’s relaxed.
It’s surrounded by gardens and bushland.
And it has that laid-back Perth Hills atmosphere that suits couples who want the day to feel more like a bloody good party than a formal production.
Why I’d consider it
It’s particularly suited to couples who want nature, good food and a relaxed atmosphere.
You can have the wedding without making everything feel overly structured.
And I’m a fan of that.
From a photographer’s point of view
The natural environment is the backdrop.
That’s important because it means your photographs can feel natural without needing to manufacture every moment.
You can walk, talk and laugh whilst actually enjoying being married.
I’ll take photographs while you’re doing it.
Location
Address: 511 Harmans Mill Road, Wilyabrup WA 6280
Website: Rustico at Hayshed Hill
The Details
Wilyabrup, Margaret River
Another one that’s technically outside Perth.
But if you’re looking at WA wedding venues and you’re prepared to travel, I couldn’t leave Rustico at Hayshed Hill out.
It’s in the Margaret River wine region and gives you that destination-wedding feeling without needing to leave Western Australia.
Vineyards, countryside, wine and food.
It’s a pretty good combination.
Why I’d consider it
Particularly if you want your wedding to feel like a weekend away rather than a single day.
Get married.
Eat.
Drink.
Stay down south.
Do it properly.
From a photographer’s point of view
Lets face it, South West is hard to beat.
The landscape does a lot of the work.
You don’t need to create a backdrop when you’ve already got vineyards and beautiful countryside around you.
And if we get good afternoon light?
Even better.
Location
Address: 1475 South Western Highway, Whitby WA 6123
Website: Quarry Farm
The Details
Whitby
Quarry Farm is another venue I’d put high on the list for couples who don’t want their wedding to feel overly formal.
I’ve photographed multiple weddings here, so I’ve had the chance to see how the venue works across different weddings.
And that’s actually one of the reasons I like it.
It can be your wedding.
Not just “a Quarry Farm wedding”.
The rustic setting, countryside views, homestead and different ceremony options give you plenty of flexibility.
Why I’d consider it
It’s particularly suited to couples who want a relaxed, country-style wedding with plenty of space.
If you’re the sort of couple who would rather have a great party with your favourite people than spend the day worrying about whether every detail looks perfect, I’d have a look.
From a photographer’s point of view
There’s plenty to photograph.
And that’s important.
You’ve got different areas, different backgrounds and plenty of opportunity to use the changing light throughout the day.
I’ve photographed real weddings here, so you can see what the venue actually looks like when it’s being used for a wedding.

Honestly?
I don’t know.
And that’s the point.
I don’t think there is one “best” wedding venue in Perth.
There is only the best venue for you.
If you’re a relaxed couple who loves the outdoors, don’t book somewhere because it looks impressive on Instagram if you can’t imagine yourselves actually enjoying being there.
If you love wine, book a winery.
Love the bush, book somewhere surrounded by trees.
If you want a massive party, find somewhere that can handle one.
Do you only want 40 people? Don’t book a venue designed for 300 because someone told you it’s the best wedding venue in Perth.
And if you want to get married down south, well get married down south.
Your wedding doesn’t have to follow anyone else’s idea of what a wedding should look like.
A few things I’d think about before booking your venue.
What does the light look like?
This is one of the things I’d ask your photographer about.
Not just:
“Is it pretty?”
Ask:
“Where will we photograph our portraits?”
“What happens if it’s raining?”
“Where do we go if it’s 38 degrees?”
Those answers can make a huge difference to your photographs.
How much travelling will you do?
If you’re getting ready somewhere, marrying somewhere else and then travelling somewhere else for photographs before heading to the reception.
You’re going to spend a fair chunk of your wedding day in a car.
That’s not necessarily a problem.
Just make sure you’re happy with it.
What happens if the weather turns?
Perth weather can be brilliant.
It can also be completely unpredictable.
Have a plan B.
Then forget about it.
If we need it, we’ll use it.
Do you actually like the venue?
Not:
“Does everyone on Instagram like it?”
Do you like it?
Can you picture yourselves there?
Your family?
The dog?
That’s the test.
And one last thing.
Don’t choose your wedding venue purely because it looks good in photographs.
Choose it because you can imagine living your wedding day there.
The photographs come afterwards.
And the best photographs usually happen when you’re actually enjoying yourself rather than worrying about whether everything is perfect.
I’ve been photographing weddings since 1998.
I’ve seen the perfectly planned weddings, the completely chaotic ones, the weather destroy timelines, timelines destroy themselves and weddings that somehow ran perfectly despite absolutely nothing going according to plan.
And do you know which ones make the best photographs?
Usually the ones where the couple stopped worrying about the photographs and just got married.
That’s what I want for you.
You enjoy the day.
I’ll worry about the pictures.
Looking for a Perth wedding photographer?
If you’re planning a wedding in Perth, the Perth Hills, Swan Valley, Baldivis, the South West or somewhere completely your own, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
I photograph weddings naturally, with real colour and without turning your wedding into a two-hour photoshoot.
Real moments. Natural colour.
Because twenty years from now, I don’t want your photographs to remind you what was trendy in 2026.
I want them to remind you exactly what your wedding felt like.
